‘I like Scary Movies’ Pop-Up for Horror Fanatic

Who doesn’t like a good horror movie every once in a while? It’s fun to get scared right! My friends used to come over to my house for movie night and we watched horror movies together. I remember none of us wanted to use the bathroom during the movie because we were so scared of being alone in the bathroom (LOL). If you are a horror movie fan, then I Like Scary Movies pop-up is a perfect Instagram spot for you. It is an immersive experience in Los Angeles that celebrates favorite horror films such as The Shining (classic horror), Beetlejuice (Tim Burton fans), A Nightmare on Elm Street (slasher throwback), The Lost Boys (80’s vampires) and IT: Chapter One (currently blockbuster horror).

I Like Scary Movies comes from the brain of artist Maximilian Castillo who is well-known for his interactive immersive creations at San Diego Comic-Con. At I Like Scary Movies, you can lay in the coffin surrounded by horrible clown dolls, walk through Beetlejuice graveyard, sit on the couch that was in the afterlife waiting room, touch the giant Freddy’s glove with 5′ long blades, pose picture with the sinister twins and more! This is a limited time experience till July 14, 2019.

As you walk up the second stairs of the Desmond Building, you will be greeted by Beetlejuice’s snake. After a few minutes of going over the rules, you are off to your first horror interaction. Get ready!

Walk through the multi-colored tunnel and into the home of Pennywise and the other characters from IT. This is one giant room with lots of clowns, red balloons, and hanging paper sailboats. There are over 4,000 paper sailboats made out of hot dog trays and ice cream cones. Be sure to follow the paper sailboat maze to the end where you can find a coffin surrounded by horrible clown dolls and Pennywise.
