If you know me already, then you know how much my family and I love pop-up museums. We have been to the Museum of Ice Cream, Happy Place, The Pizza Experience and we enjoyed every moment of it. When we heard Fa La Land, a holiday themed pop-up museum, was coming to Los Angeles, we jumped on it. We love the holiday season as it is the most wonderful time of the year with all the dazzling lights and jolly sounds. Yes, we are that family that decorates our house for Christmas the first week of November. We are guilty of skipping Thanksgiving decorations. We just cannot get enough of the beautiful Christmas decorations.
Fa La Land is a vibrant and fun holiday pop-up museum. The pop-up consists of six different festive rooms. Each room has a different theme and provides a little something for you take – a coin to make a wish at the fountain, a golden ticket to redeem present and candies. There are no shortage of Instagram opportunities. Of course you already knew that, didn’t you?
Fa La Land was created by Amanda Brown, author of Legally Blonde, Rory Dorsey and Chloe Sommer. βFa La Land was born from the idea that we all need a little more magic in our lives β¦ And what better time than around the holidays in our hometown where weβre always ready to embrace the creative and enchanting,β said Brown. Sommer added, βOur goal is to leave a forever-impression in the hearts and minds of every single person who comes to Fa La Land this season.”
North Pole
Wander around a scenic North Pole Village where you can take a selfie with Mrs. Claus as she roams around and write a letter to Santa at the Fa La Post.
Jingle Bell Toy Factory
A real life working toy factory with thousands of ornaments on the walls. You can get an “Elfie Selfie,” write names on the “Naughty” or “Nice” list, watch a live countdown to Christmas, crank a conveyor belt like one of Santaβs elves, or raid Santa’s toy chest! This is where you get a golden ticket from an Elf to redeem a present when you see Santa. Plus, you will get to keep the golden ticket as souvenir.
Fa La Forest
Get lost in the amazing fluorescent Christmas trees.
Candyfornia
What are the holidays without sweets and treats? This room features vibrant colors with a swing in La La Fields Forever, a candy bridge above a flowing candy river and a candy ball pit. You can even wear a giant candy necklace if you dare.
Fa La Fest
A room features a mini-music festival including the mistletoe kissing booth.
Santa’s Room
Get your Christmas list ready for Santa. Here, you will be able to take picture with Santa and ride on his sleigh. This is where you show your golden ticket to redeem a present from Santa. There’s also a decorated phone booth to call home to share the news that you just met Santa.
My family had so much fun at Fa La Land. We love all the holiday details and the interactive experiences. Fa La Land definitely created lasting memories for our family during this holiday season.
