Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity to create traditions and to spend quality time with family and friends. Creating traditions is one of the most exciting parts of the holiday season. It helps to create a strong family bond with long lasting memories. This year, we added Tanaka Farms Holiday Santa Tour to our family tradition. Tanaka Farms comes alive for the Christmas season with a special Holiday Santa Tour and Sanrio Village. There are plenty photo opportunities throughout the farm with Hello Kitty and Sanrio Friends.
Santa Tour
We took a wagon ride around the 30 acre farm and sampled the delicious winter vegetables growing along the way. This year, we sampled green onions, broccoli, celery, lettuce and carrots. We enjoyed the scenery while the friendly tour guide tells us all about Tanaka Farms and history. Afterward, we were then transported to the top of the hill in Tanaka Land where we got caught up in a snow flurry. We had the opportunity to take photos with Santa and other farm-themed holiday sets. The tour took approximately one hour and concluded at the Tanaka Farm’s Holiday Market Stand.
Walk through the Seasons
We walked through the corn maze filled with Hello Kitty & Friends decoration celebrating each of the harvest seasons, all leading to the Sanrio Holiday Village, specially decorated for the holidays.
Christmas Trees
Before you leave, be sure to check out Christmas Tree Lot from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily until December 16th, 2018. Trees are shipped to Tanaka Farms from Oregon immediately after cutting. You can also find other holiday decorations such as wreaths, poinsettias, fresh garlands, tree & lawn ornaments, etc..
Tips Before You Go
- November 23, 2018 to December 26, 2018 (Weekends only)
- Weekend tours depart every half an hour from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Arrive 20 minutes before tour time to check in.
- Each paying guest receives a limited edition Sanrio button.
- Bring water, hats, sunscreen and grocery bags so you can put veggies.
- Wear comfortable shoes that you donβt mind getting dirty. Avoid wearing sandals/flip flops, open-toed shoes or high heels.
