Memorial Day weekend is different this year due to Covid-19 restrictions on travel. We are limited on where we could go this weekend since many places are still closed. I was happy to find a blueberry farm in Temecula that opened this weekend so I decided to take the family for blueberry picking. Have you ever been blueberry picking before? If not, it’s a fun event for the family where you have rows and rows of blueberry picking opportunities.
It took us about an hour to get to the Temecula Berry Co. farm from Orange County. There were only a few parking space left when we arrived around 10 A.M. It’s best to come early to avoid the crowd. When we left around noon, there was a long line of cars that were waiting to park. At the welcome booth, the farm offered a one time use containers in 3 different sizes; small, medium and large to purchase. We purchased two medium containers for each of our kids. The small container was $5, medium was $10 and large was $20 each.
After we entered the field, we made a left towards the red barn style building to check it out and then headed to pick blueberries. Everyone was respectful and kept social distancing on the blueberry field.
Once we were done picking blueberries, we headed to the chicken barn to see the chicken and goats.
We had a great time blueberry picking. The blueberries were super sweet. We cannot wait to visit it again in the near future.
