We live in a world where we interconnect through digital technology and it has becomes part of our lives. Opening on May 15, 2019, the Museum of Dream Space (MODS) is Los Angeles’ newest destination of digital artworks. MODS is the first dedicated digital art museum in the United States. I attended MODS at the Beverly Center (near Macy’s) during the preview party and had a chance to experience digital artworks reacting on motion. This was a unique experience compare to other pop-up museums that I have been in the past such as the Foodie Space, Fa La Land, ect.. While standing in the same spot, I experienced an amazing change of scenery of flowers in just a few minutes and art painting changing to different ones right in front of my eyes! Truly magicalβ¦It’s a great way to enjoy art and being able to interact with it.
The design concept of MODS is illuminated by art design of Yayoi Kusama’s famous of Infinity Mirrors and the development of digital art. There, you will have a chance to visit a fascinated place with extraordinary illusions supported by unique technology. You are encouraged to interact and play with the digital artworks. You will not step into the same museum twice as the art is dynamic and constantly moves freely.
